IN THE PINK

“Bless You” is an installation and artist edition that was showcased in the group exhibition “In The Pink” at the art space Parlour London. Comprising two stacks of pink, brick-like tissue boxes, the piece satirises the concept of gendered materiality and invites viewers to re-address our common preconceptions concerning the divide between feminine and masculine codes. The tissue box, often associated with the sensitive nature of women as well as their supposed affinity for self-care beauty rituals, is contrasted by the brick which stands for macho, masculine attributes. When melded together, these two elements transform into a new item that’s both charged and neutral, open for fresh interpretations.

The single ceramic bricks run in an edition of 200.
